What Parents Are Saying

Coach Jason is so patient and knowledgeable. He makes swimming simple. I highly recommend Champion Technique!

James R. - Aledo

Champion Technique has been amazing for my kids. They love their lessons, and I love seeing their confidence grow!

Sarah T. - Walsh

I refer everyone to Coach Jason and Champion Technique. He's taught all of my children how to swim. My oldest son spent two years at a local swim school and could barely float. Jason not only taught him how to swim but helped him make the neighborhood swim team. Champion Technique Swim School actually teaches kids to swim. What a wild concept.

Frequently Asked Questions

We highly recommend a schedule of four lessons per week for children 3 years-old and older (from March - August). However, we understand that this may not be feasible for everyone. In such cases, alternative arrangements can be made. The reason for this recommendation is based on the importance of consistent practice. The concept of twice or once-a-week lessons was originally designed with the assumption that parents would work with their children in between lessons. Most parents tend to use the pool for leisure and social activities, rather than working on swimming skills with their children. Four lessons per week will allow for more efficient progression through skills and minimize the time spent reviewing previous lessons. Although the schedule can be adjusted to best accommodate your needs, we strongly suggest considering the four lesson option.

Once a week is recommended for children younger than 3 as well as for children 3 years-old and older during the school year.

A swimsuit, a towel, and a can-do attitude! Goggles are optional but recommended for older swimmers. Oh, and don’t forget the post-swim snack—swimming works up an appetite!

We welcome swimmers as young as 6 months old in our infant and toddler programs. It’s never too early to start building water confidence (and never too late either—teens and adults, we’ve got you covered!).

Three is the perfect age to start swim lessons.  Children have adequate attention span and coordination.  Younger ages do much better with "Parent and Me" classes or slower pace classes.

Half our new swimmers are recovering from survival swim lessons. These children have serious fears of the water from those classes. That's all we will say on that matter.

Our expectation is your child be able to swim any distance without assistance safely.  After that, we're getting them ready for swim team.  We've had 2 year-olds swimming freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke.

We’re glad you asked! At Champion Technique, we don’t just teach swimming—we teach the principles of swimming. That means no rigid levels, no endless tests, and no limits on what your swimmer can learn. We focus on building strong swimmers who are confident, safe, and ready to take on the water (and maybe even the competition!).

“Water Safe” is a good start, but let’s be real—it’s just the minimum standard. At Champion Technique, we believe true water safety comes from being a strong swimmer. That’s why we don’t stop at the basics; we teach skills that help swimmers thrive, not just survive.

It’s easy! Use our Parent Portal to schedule, reschedule, or cancel lessons at your convenience. The portal is user-friendly, secure, and available 24/7—because we know life doesn’t always stick to a schedule.

Every swimmer is different, and progress depends on factors like age, comfort level, and practice. But here’s the good news: our approach focuses on teaching as much as possible, as quickly as possible. No levels, no limits—just swimming!

That’s where the fun really begins! We encourage our swimmers to take the next step and join our competitive swimming programs. Whether they’re racing for medals or just refining their skills, there’s always more to learn and achieve in the water.

Absolutely! It’s never too late to learn to swim or improve your skills. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your technique, we’ve got a program for you.

That’s completely normal, and we’re here to help! Our instructors are trained to create a fun, supportive environment that helps swimmers build confidence at their own pace. We’ll have them smiling and splashing in no time!
